CVE-2021-24915 affects the Contest Gallery WordPress plugin before version 13.1.0.6. The plugin's user export functionality for a gallery fails to enforce capability checks and does not sanitize or escape the cg-search-user-name-original parameter before incorporating it into a SQL statement. As a result, an unauthenticated attacker can supply crafted input to trigger SQL injection in the export-users workflow. The same vulnerable functionality can also be abused to enumerate registered blog users, including usernames and email addresses.

If you can’t patch tonight, do this now.
cg-search-user-name-original parameter, and use a WAF or equivalent filtering to block SQL injection payloads targeting the vulnerable endpoint. Review logs for signs of user enumeration or anomalous export activity.Patch, then assume compromise.
