CVE-2021-27568 is an improper exceptional-condition handling flaw in netplex json-smart. Affected json-smart parsing or number-conversion code can throw an exception, including NumberFormatException, for malformed input without catching it. In applications that do not handle the propagated exception, attacker-controlled malformed JSON can terminate request processing or crash the consuming application. Affected releases include the json-smart-v1 line through its 2015-10-23 release and json-smart-v2 through 2.4.
