CVE-2021-41653 is a remote code execution vulnerability in the PING diagnostic function of the TP-Link TL-WR840N EU v5 router. Affected firmware includes versions through TL-WR840N(EU)_V5_171211. The vulnerable code path processes user-supplied input from an IP address field; a crafted payload in that field can trigger command injection and lead to execution of attacker-controlled commands on the device.
