CVE-2021-47284 is an error-handling flaw in the Linux kernel mISDN Netjet ISDN driver. During device probing, nj_setup can fail with an I/O error after the driver has populated card->irq. The cleanup routine, nj_release, then interprets that positive IRQ value as an allocated interrupt and invokes free_irq even though request_irq was never successfully called. The upstream correction removes the premature IRQ assignment and retains assignment immediately before the interrupt request operation.
