A NULL pointer dereference affects the Linux kernel hwmon w83792d driver. During subclient detection, a device-supplied value satisfying the bit condition (val & 0x08) && !(val & 0x80) && ((val & 0x07) == ((val >> 4) & 0x07)) can cause the driver to dereference an uninitialized NULL entry in its obsolete lm75 subclient structure. The structure was unnecessary following conversion to managed I2C dummy-device creation. The fix removes the unused lm75 array and eliminates the dereference condition.
