CVE-2022-2503 is a Linux kernel authentication-bypass flaw affecting LoadPin deployments that rely on a dm-verity-protected root filesystem. A privileged local user can reload a device-mapper table and replace a verified dm-verity target with an equivalent dm-linear target. This replacement bypasses dm-verity verification and consequently LoadPin enforcement until the next reboot, permitting module and firmware loads from an untrusted backing store.
