CVE-2022-25762 is an improper socket and pooled-object reuse flaw in Apache Tomcat WebSocket handling. When an application sends a WebSocket message concurrently with closure of the associated connection, the application can continue using the socket after closure. Error handling can then return a pooled object to the pool twice, allowing later connections to use the same object concurrently. The affected ranges are described as Apache Tomcat 8.5.0 through 8.5.75 and Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.20.
