CVE-2022-28113 is an authentication bypass vulnerability in the upload.csp component of FANTEC GmbH MWiD25-DS Firmware v2.000.030. The flaw allows attackers to write arbitrary files and reset user passwords without requiring a valid session cookie, effectively bypassing authentication controls.

This repository contains a working exploit for CVE-2022-28113, targeting the Fantec MWiD25-DS Travel Router (firmware 2.000.030). The exploit is implemented in Python (exploit.py) and leverages two vulnerabilities: an unauthenticated file upload to /upload.csp to reset the root and admin passwords, and a heap buffer overflow in the SSID parameter of the wifi client set function via /protocol.csp. The exploit automates the attack chain: it first uploads crafted passwd and shadow files to reset credentials, then logs in using the new credentials, and finally exploits the buffer overflow to execute arbitrary commands as root. By default, it starts the Telnet daemon and connects to it, providing the attacker with a root shell. The shellcode.asm file contains MIPS assembly instructions used in the buffer overflow payload. The repository is well-structured, with clear separation between documentation (README.rst), the main exploit script (exploit.py), and the shellcode (shellcode.asm). No fake or detection-only scripts are present; the exploit is fully operational and weaponized for remote code execution on the target device.
