CVE-2022-2938 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel Pressure Stall Information (PSI) subsystem. The flaw occurs when a PSI trigger is destroyed while a polling operation is still using it. A local attacker able to register a PSI trigger and wait on it through poll() can cause the stale object to be accessed in kernel context. PSI is disabled by default on configurations using CONFIG_PSI_DEFAULT_DISABLED and is affected only when explicitly enabled at boot.
