CVE-2022-3108 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel (through 5.16-rc6) within the AMD KFD (Kernel Fusion Driver) CRAT (Component Resource Affinity Table) subsystem. The function kfd_parse_subtype_iolink in drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdkfd/kfd_crat.c fails to check the return value of kmemdup(), which can return NULL on memory allocation failure. This can lead to a NULL pointer dereference if the return value is used without validation.
