CVE-2022-40005 is a command injection vulnerability affecting Intelbras WiFiber 120AC inMesh devices before version 1-1-220826. Authenticated users can inject operating system commands through diagnostic functionality exposed by the /boaform/formPing6 and /boaform/formTracert endpoints, which are used for ping and traceroute operations. The flaw arises from insufficient neutralization of user-controlled input before it is passed to system-level command execution, enabling an attacker with valid access to execute arbitrary commands on the device.
