CVE-2022-44149 is an authenticated OS command injection vulnerability in the web management interface of Nexxt Amp300 devices, including firmware versions 42.103.1.5095 and 80.103.2.5045 on ARN02304U8 hardware. The flaw is present in the goform/sysTools component’s ping diagnostic feature, where user-controlled input from the JSON host field is incorporated into an operating system command without proper neutralization of shell metacharacters. By appending shell syntax such as a command separator followed by an additional command, an authenticated attacker can cause the device to execute arbitrary OS commands in the router’s underlying environment.
