CVE-2022-50229 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel ALSA BCD2000 USB audio driver. On the driver probe error path, if snd_card_register() fails, the driver frees the MIDI output USB Request Block before terminating it. A pending USB completion callback can then execute bcd2000_input_complete() and dereference the freed URB. The upstream fix terminates the URB with usb_kill_urb() before releasing it with usb_free_urb().
