CVE-2023-0461 is a use-after-free in the Linux kernel net/ulp handling of listening TCP sockets. The flaw affects the icsk_ulp_data member of struct inet_connection_sock when CONFIG_TLS or CONFIG_XFRM_ESPINTCP is enabled. With CONFIG_TLS enabled, a user can install a struct tls_context on a connected TCP socket through the TCP_ULP setsockopt operation. If that socket is disconnected and repurposed as a listening socket, its TLS context is not cleared. Sockets accepted from the listener can inherit the stale context, resulting in use of freed memory.
