CVE-2023-1260 is an authorization bypass in kube-apiserver involving the pods/ephemeralcontainers subresource. An authenticated principal granted update and patch permissions on that subresource beyond the default permission set can create a new Pod or modify a Pod to which it already has access. This can evade Security Context Constraints admission restrictions and enable control of a privileged Pod.
