CVE-2023-20598 is an improper privilege-management vulnerability in the AMD Radeon Graphics driver. An authenticated attacker can craft an IOCTL request that obtains I/O control over arbitrary hardware ports or physical addresses, potentially enabling arbitrary code execution.
Mallory correlates every CVE against your assets, your vendors, and active adversary campaigns. Know which vulnerabilities matter for you, not just which ones are loud.

If you can’t patch tonight, do this now.
Patch, then assume compromise.

This repository contains a proof-of-concept (POC) local privilege escalation exploit targeting the AMD Radeon PDFWKRNL.sys driver on Windows systems. The main code is in 'pdfwkrnl.cpp', which is a C++ application designed to be built with Visual Studio (project files are included). The exploit works by opening a handle to the device '\\.\PdFwKrnl' and using crafted IOCTL requests to perform arbitrary kernel memory read and write operations. It locates the SYSTEM process's token in kernel memory and overwrites the current process's token pointer, effectively granting SYSTEM privileges to the exploit process. Upon success, it spawns a SYSTEM shell (cmd.exe). The exploit is designed to work from a low integrity process and supports multiple Windows versions by dynamically determining kernel structure offsets. No network or remote attack vector is present; this is a local-only exploit. The repository is structured as a standard Visual Studio C++ project, with one main code file and supporting project/solution files.

A vulnerability in the AMD Radeon Software PDFWKRNL.sys driver that the LunexLoader component abuses in a BYOVD chain to escalate privileges and impair security processes.
A vulnerability affecting the AMD Radeon Software PDFWKRNL.sys kernel-mode driver that LunexLoader abuses in a BYOVD chain to gain elevated privileges and neutralize security tooling.
A vulnerability in AMD’s PDFWKRNL.sys driver that provides arbitrary kernel virtual memory access primitives, enabling elevation of privilege (EoP) and potentially security product bypass; also discussed in the context of firmware access abuse.
