CVE-2023-22522 is a critical template injection vulnerability in Atlassian Confluence Data Center and Confluence Server. The flaw allows an authenticated attacker, including an attacker with anonymous access where anonymous access is enabled, to inject unsafe user-controlled input into a Confluence page. By abusing this template injection condition, an attacker can achieve remote code execution on the affected Confluence instance. Atlassian Cloud deployments are not affected; the issue applies to self-managed Confluence Data Center and Server deployments.
