CVE-2023-22620 is a critical authentication-bypass vulnerability in SecurePoint UTM versions before 12.2.5.1. An invalid authentication attempt can disclose the session identifier for the last authenticated user. Session validation binds the identifier to a fingerprint derived from the client source address and HTTP User-Agent. An attacker able to obtain the relevant session identifier, match the victim session's source address, and determine its User-Agent can reuse the session without the victim's password. The disclosure can occur across the administrative and user-login interfaces.

A critical authentication bypass vulnerability in SecurePoint UTM firewall that can leak a valid administrator session ID and allow access to the administrative panel, potentially leading to root-level compromise.
A CVSS 9.0 sensitive-information exposure and authentication-bypass flaw in SecurePoint UTM. Unauthenticated requests can obtain an active user's session ID, which can be used to impersonate that user when source-IP and User-Agent conditions are met. An administrator-session compromise can lead to root-level compromise through legitimate device features.
