CVE-2023-24539 is an improper CSS-value sanitization vulnerability in Go's html/template package. When template actions are rendered into a CSS context, angle brackets are not treated as dangerous characters. A template containing multiple actions separated by a forward slash can consequently cause html/template to terminate the CSS context unexpectedly. If attacker-controlled input is supplied to such a template, the resulting output can contain injected, unintended HTML.
