CVE-2023-28466 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel TLS subsystem. In Linux kernel versions through 6.2.6, do_tls_getsockopt in net/tls/tls_main.c performs TLS socket-option handling without acquiring the socket lock via lock_sock. Concurrent socket state changes can therefore race with this operation, resulting in use-after-free access or a NULL-pointer dereference.
