CVE-2023-29400 is an HTML attribute-injection vulnerability in Go's html/template package. It occurs when a template action is placed in an unquoted HTML attribute value, such as attr={{.}}, and is evaluated with empty input. HTML normalization can then cause the rendered output to be parsed differently than intended, permitting arbitrary attributes to be injected into an HTML tag.
