CVE-2023-29401 is an improper input-validation vulnerability in the Gin Go web framework's Context.FileAttachment function. The function did not adequately sanitize the caller-supplied filename before incorporating it into the HTTP Content-Disposition response header. A crafted filename containing quoting or parameter-delimiter characters can cause the resulting attachment filename to differ from the value intended by the application, or can otherwise alter Content-Disposition header semantics. Gin addressed the issue in version 1.9.1.
