CVE-2023-32390 is an authentication bypass vulnerability in Apple’s Visual Lookup feature affecting iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and macOS. Due to insufficient access-control checks, photos stored in the Hidden Photos Album could be viewed without the expected authentication requirement when accessed through Visual Lookup. Apple states the issue was addressed with improved checks. The flaw undermines the privacy protections intended for hidden photos by allowing protected content to be exposed through an alternate application workflow.
