CVE-2023-3932 is an incorrect user management vulnerability in GitLab Enterprise Edition that affects all versions from 13.12 before 16.0.8, 16.1 before 16.1.3, and 16.2 before 16.2.2. The flaw allows an attacker to cause pipeline jobs to run as an arbitrary user through scheduled security scan policies. The issue stems from improper handling of user context or authorization in the scheduled security scan policy workflow, enabling pipeline execution under another user’s identity rather than the attacker’s own effective permissions.
