CVE-2023-42753 is an array-indexing vulnerability in the Linux kernel netfilter subsystem. A missing macro causes incorrect calculation of the h->nets array offset, resulting in an integer-underflow condition and potential slab out-of-bounds memory access. The flaw gives a local attacker a primitive to increment or decrement memory outside the intended buffer.
