CVE-2023-45289 is an information-disclosure vulnerability in Go's net/http redirect handling and cookiejar behavior. The domain-validation logic used when following redirects can incorrectly classify a redirect target as an eligible domain or subdomain of the original destination. Consequently, a maliciously crafted redirect can cause an HTTP client to forward sensitive request headers, including Authorization and Cookie headers, to an unintended domain.
