CVE-2023-4622 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel AF_UNIX subsystem. The unix_stream_sendpage() function attempts to append data to the final socket buffer in a peer UNIX-domain stream socket's receive queue without locking that queue. Concurrent garbage collection can release the selected socket buffer while unix_stream_sendpage() still accesses it, resulting in a stale-memory access.
