The vulnerability resides in the setTracerouteCfg function, which fails to properly neutralize special elements in OS commands, allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands on the device. The vulnerability is network-exploitable, requires no authentication or user interaction, and is rated 9.8 (Critical) on the CVSS v3.1 scale. Proof-of-concept exploit code is publicly available.
