CVE-2023-52605 was assigned to a suspected NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel ACPI extlog module. In extlog_exit(), extlog_l1_addr was historically dereferenced to clear an extended-logging flag before a NULL check. A code change moved that dereference inside the NULL-guarded block. The CVE was subsequently rejected because the exit handler runs only after successful module initialization and during privileged module unload, a path in which extlog_l1_addr is not expected to be NULL. It is no longer a valid upstream CVE.
