CVE-2023-53421 is a Linux kernel blk-cgroup vulnerability in the cgroup v1 statistics-reset path. After blkcg_reset_stats() clears associated blkg_iostat_set instances, it fails to reinitialize their blkg pointer and sync lock fields. Subsequent use can dereference a NULL blkg pointer and panic the kernel. The fix reinitializes both fields after the memory-clear operation.
