CVE-2024-0011 is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Captive Portal feature of Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS. The flaw allows malicious JavaScript supplied through a crafted link or request parameter to be reflected by the portal and executed in the browser context of an authenticated Captive Portal user. The issue affects the client-side web interface rather than the underlying firewall operating system directly. Successful exploitation requires the victim to interact with attacker-controlled content, such as clicking a malicious link, after which script executes within the Captive Portal session context.
