CVE-2024-10674 affects the Th Shop Mania theme for WordPress. In all versions up to and including 1.4.9, the th_shop_mania_install_and_activate_callback() function lacks a required capability check, allowing authenticated users with Subscriber-level access or higher to invoke functionality intended for more privileged users. As a result, an attacker can install arbitrary WordPress plugins without proper authorization. Because plugin installation introduces attacker-chosen code and functionality into the target WordPress instance, this weakness can be chained with malicious or vulnerable plugins to facilitate further compromise, including remote code execution and privilege escalation.

This repository contains a Python exploit script (CVE-2024-10674.py) targeting the Th Shop Mania WordPress theme (versions <= 1.4.9). The exploit leverages a vulnerability (CVE-2024-10674) that allows authenticated users with at least Subscriber-level access to install and activate arbitrary plugins via improperly protected AJAX endpoints. The script first checks if the target is running a vulnerable version by fetching the theme's readme.txt, then logs in using provided credentials, extracts required nonces from the admin interface, and sends crafted AJAX requests to install and activate a plugin of the attacker's choice. The exploit is operational and can be used to escalate privileges or achieve remote code execution if a malicious plugin is installed. The repository includes a README with detailed usage instructions and a LICENSE file. The main attack vector is web-based, targeting WordPress administrative AJAX endpoints. All endpoints used in the exploit are fingerprintable and relate to standard WordPress paths.
