CVE-2024-20440 is a critical information disclosure vulnerability in Cisco Smart Licensing Utility. The flaw is caused by excessive verbosity in a debug log file and the storage of sensitive information in that log. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send crafted HTTP requests to an affected instance and retrieve log files containing sensitive data. Exposed data may include credentials for the application's API, enabling further unauthorized access. Reported affected versions include Cisco Smart Licensing Utility 2.0.0, 2.1.0, and 2.2.0.
