CVE-2024-24785 is an improper output-encoding vulnerability in Go's html/template package. When a value processed during template execution implements MarshalJSON and its MarshalJSON method returns an error containing attacker-controlled data, that error can interfere with html/template's contextual auto-escaping state. Subsequent template actions may therefore be rendered without the escaping required by their HTML, JavaScript, CSS, or URL context, enabling injection of unexpected content.
