CVE-2024-26643 is a race condition in the Linux kernel Netfilter nf_tables subsystem. Asynchronous rhashtable garbage collection can collect elements from an anonymous nftables set configured with timeouts while that set is being released through the transaction commit path. The correction marks the anonymous set dead before release so asynchronous garbage collection skips it; the dead flag is also set on the transaction-abort path.
