CVE-2024-26693 is a null-pointer dereference vulnerability in the Linux kernel iwlwifi MVM Wi-Fi driver. When firmware station capacity is exhausted, the driver can fail to add a station to firmware without reporting an error to mac80211. mac80211 subsequently treats the station as uploaded, allowing receive-path lookup to return a station whose iwl_mvm_sta object was never initialized. Processing received traffic for that station accesses unallocated per-queue duplicate-detection data and crashes the kernel.
