CVE-2024-26735 is a Linux kernel flaw in the IPv6 Segment Routing subsystem. The subsystem registered its Generic Netlink family before registering its per-network-namespace operations structure. This initialization ordering could allow accesses to uninitialized or released per-network-namespace state, resulting in a use-after-free condition or NULL-pointer dereference. The fix registers the pernet operations before the Generic Netlink family.
