CVE-2024-29203 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability in TinyMCE affecting the editor's content insertion code. The flaw allows inserted iframe elements containing malicious code to execute when processed by the editor. Although browser same-origin protections limit what the iframe can directly access, the inserted malicious iframe can still execute within the editor context and trigger unwanted actions such as loading or downloading attacker-controlled assets. The issue affects TinyMCE 6.x versions prior to 6.8.1 and was fixed in version 6.8.1.
