Administrative-panel XSS in CHAOS RAT 5.0.1
CVE-2024-31839 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability in tiagorlampert CHAOS RAT version 5.0.1, associated with the sendCommandHandler function. Malicious data embedded in spoofed agent callbacks can execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser session through the administrative panel, enabling privilege escalation. The vulnerability can be chained with the separate backend command-injection vulnerability CVE-2024-30850 to compromise the CHAOS RAT controller.
