CVE-2024-34156 is an uncontrolled-recursion vulnerability in the Go standard-library encoding/gob package. Decoder.Decode recursively processes nested structures in gob messages without sufficient protection against excessive nesting depth. A crafted message containing deeply nested structures can exhaust the process stack and trigger a panic. The issue is a follow-up to CVE-2022-30635.
