CVE-2024-37891 is an information-disclosure vulnerability in urllib3, the Python HTTP client library. When an application manually sets a Proxy-Authorization request header while not using urllib3's ProxyManager proxy support, urllib3 historically did not classify that header as sensitive for redirect handling. Consequently, the header could be retained and sent when the client automatically followed a cross-origin redirect. urllib3 corrected this behavior by stripping Proxy-Authorization during cross-origin redirects.
