Time-Based Blind SQL Injection in Cloudlog 2.6.15
Cloudlog 2.6.15 contains a time-based blind SQL injection vulnerability in its advanced logbook search functionality. Attacker-controlled input supplied through the affected search request can be interpreted as part of an SQL query, enabling blind, time-based inference against the underlying database.
What it means and what to do now: patch path, interim mitigations, and the assume-compromise checklist.
What an attacker gets, and what they’ve been doing with it.
Successful exploitation can compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected Cloudlog deployment and its underlying data.
If you can’t patch tonight, do this now.
Until the deployment is patched, strictly validate, filter, and sanitize user-supplied search input. Restrict exposure of the affected application endpoint to trusted users and networks where feasible.
Patch, then assume compromise.
Update Cloudlog to a patched version when one is available. Correct the affected database access path by using parameterized queries or prepared statements rather than incorporating user-controlled input into SQL syntax.
