CVE-2024-50672 is a NoSQL injection vulnerability in Adapt Learning Adapt Authoring Tool versions up to and including 0.11.3. The vulnerability exists in the password reset functionality, where user input is insufficiently validated before being used in a Mongoose find() query. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary queries, enabling them to reset passwords for any user, including administrators.
