CVE-2024-52332 is an error-path memory-safety vulnerability in the Linux kernel Intel igb Ethernet driver. In igb_init_module(), if pci_register_driver() fails, the driver previously left its Direct Cache Access notifier registered. A subsequent invocation of that notifier after failed igb driver installation can access invalid memory. The issue was introduced in Linux kernel 2.6.29 and affects the igb driver implementation.
