CVE-2024-5470 is a low-severity authorization flaw in GitLab Community Edition and Enterprise Edition. In affected versions, a user assigned the Guest role who also had the custom role permission admin_push_rules could create project-level deploy tokens. This represents an unintended expansion of privileges in which a permission associated with push rule administration could be used to perform deploy token management actions at the project level. The issue affects GitLab CE/EE versions 17.0 before 17.0.4 and 17.1 before 17.1.2.
