CVE-2024-55549 is a use-after-free vulnerability in libxslt before 1.1.43, affecting xsltGetInheritedNsList during XSLT stylesheet processing. When processing exclusion of result prefixes, libxslt can retain namespace-URL references in the exclPrefixTab table after an included stylesheet is deleted. In the affected condition, an included stylesheet whose root is xsl:text is removed, freeing namespace URLs that remain referenced by exclPrefixTab; subsequent processing dereferences the stale references.
