CVE-2024-58388 is an unauthenticated path traversal vulnerability affecting Sharp multifunction printers, including Toshiba Tec-rebranded models. The manual-download endpoint permits remote attackers to manipulate its path parameter with directory-traversal sequences and read arbitrary files outside the intended manual directory. Exposed information can include system configuration files and coredumps containing credentials. The Shadowserver Foundation first observed evidence of exploitation on July 30, 2024.
