CVE-2024-6104 is an information-disclosure vulnerability in go-retryablehttp versions prior to 0.7.7. The library did not sanitize URL data before emitting it through its logging functionality. URLs containing embedded HTTP Basic Authentication credentials could therefore be recorded in application log files in cleartext. Version 0.7.7 corrects the URL sanitization behavior before logging.
