CVE-2024-6671 is a SQL injection vulnerability affecting Progress WhatsUp Gold versions released before 2024.0.0. In deployments configured with only a single user, the flaw can be exploited by an unauthenticated attacker to manipulate backend SQL queries and retrieve the encrypted password associated with that user account. The issue arises from improper neutralization of attacker-controlled input in SQL commands, enabling direct database interaction without prior authentication.
