CVE-2024-7262 is a remote code execution vulnerability in Kingsoft WPS Office for Windows caused by improper path validation in promecefpluginhost.exe. Affected versions range from 12.2.0.13110 up to, but not including, 12.2.0.16412. The flaw allows an attacker to cause WPS Office to load an arbitrary Windows library from an attacker-controlled path. Observed exploitation used a deceptive spreadsheet document, including an MHTML-formatted spreadsheet with a hidden hyperlink, to trigger automatic download of a remote library when the document was opened and then execute it after a single user click. The issue was exploited in the wild by APT-C-60 and was added to CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog.
